It is 100 degrees in Texas and I have found that working out in this heat, even if indoors, is not light work. Our new quarantine routine includes a bright-and-early walk with our little one. When we get back, Cassius has breakfast and I try to sneak in a quick 28-minute dance HIIT or strength workout with the man, the myth, the legend – Walter Kemp – on my obe fitness app.
Given our current routine, I need outfits that will keep me cool in the Texas heat while also keeping me supported during my high-impact interval training. Below are some of my favorites for the summer. PS. These options are all SUPER COMFORTABLE and I have been wearing them on repeat throughout quarantine. Athleisure is a thing and I am all about it. If you follow me on instagram – @amynajenna – you’ve already gotten a sneak peek at some of my go-to outfits. Yet another reason to click the instagram icon in the top right corner and follow along. That way, you get that new new before anyone else.
Sidenote about Obe Fitness: I am OBSESSED. You can stream it to your television, it is way more exciting than running on a treadmill to nowhere, you can burn calories by having a full-on dance party in your room with no one watching, AND if you take classes with Walter, getting your body right and tight won’t be the only thing on the agenda. He has taught me how to honor my body – to be grateful for everything it has given me instead of cursing it for the rolls that won’t disappear. I started using the program right after lockdown in March and have lost twelve pounds – count em – and gained an appreciation and respect for this body of mine. I rave about Walter and Obe to anyone who will listen – he is THAT good. Walter Kemp. You the real MVP.
