SO sorry for being MIA friends but I had to survive tax season before getting back to all things shiny and pretty. I haven’t really been feeling myself lately as I have been rocking my hair on top of my head for the last month and successfully hiding behind my larger than life Tory Burch tortoiseshell frames. I do have my eye on this Tom Ford pair so I can switch up my game a bit AND look fresh to death while inputting numbers into Excel. Priorities. I have learned many things this past month – I know an embarrassing amount about pivot tables and Excel formulas, hair really does look healthier when you stop using 59 irons to style it in the morning, dry shampoo has LEGIT saved my life and daylight savings time is the absolute WORST. I have also really, REALLY missed the outdoors. Being trapped behind a computer screen since the start of 2017 will do that to you.
Hey Lover. Yes, I am talking to you – you know that I love my readers fiercely. Don’t let this freak you out, I use this greeting all the time – I say it to my ride-or-die besties, my bae (That’s you, Rohan) and my family, which they undoubtedly love. I have always been unabashedly honest about my emotions and wear my heart on my sleeve – ain’t no shame in my game. I can’t, however, take credit for this phrase – that is an honor that is reserved for the one and only LL COOL J.
You’re now tuned into the mother#^@%*&in greatest – that’s if you did what all the cool kids did last week and entered in your email to get updates from suddhara.com. If you haven’t, you are dead to me. KIDDING. But you should probably go ahead and do it now. I will wait.
This week has NOT been an easy one for this country. Because this is a fashion and lifestyle blog, I will stick with what I know but I have found inspiration in these words.
It’s been more than a year since I sat down at the computer to write something other than a legal memorandum. I could give many excuses as to why – planning the Romyna2015 wedding celebrations took every extra minute of my day, my full-time job intensified and free time became a thing of the past and post-marriage travels took us to Jamaica, Costa Rica and all around the country for weddings to celebrate our friends and family, leaving very little time to focus on anything else but the basics.
Though these things did bring immense joy to my world, as well as a little chaos, they are not responsible for why I have been absent from suddhara.com. That is much harder to type on paper.
Today is my 29th birthday – the last good birthday before I turn the big 3-0. Birthdays are always a time of reflection and since I am not spending this year crying in the shower (reserving that activity for next year), I have been thinking a lot about my friends, my family, and how much has changed since I was splashing around in the inflatable pool in my parents’ front yard. See below for photo evidence. Read More
Recently, Ro and I traveled to Florida to attend the gorgeous wedding of Aileen & Marty. Weddings are my absolute favorite events to celebrate because you get to see two people who are over the moon in love on the happiest day of their lives.
